The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry

I just finished watching The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry at my local movie theater (I began writing this post on my iPhone during the credits). It is a fictional story about how one person’s faith can inspire other people. Jonathan Sperry is an elderly man in the 1970s and he mentors 3 young boys on how the Bible applies to their lives everyday.

There was nothing negative about the movie and it had a positive message. It made me think about how my faith has touched other people’s lives and it inspired me to grow stronger in my relationship with Jesus. I recommend this movie and encourage anyone who wants a good, wholesome Christian, movie to see it.

The Time Traveler’s Wife

We saw The Time Traveler’s wife last night and it was actually pretty interesting and entertaining. It’s kind of like Benjamin Button. Collin and I took bets on if he would drop a plate during the movie and-you’ll have to see it to find out if he does.

The reason I was interested in the movie was due to it’s synopsis, it was vague enough that I found myself wanting to see what the movie was about. It’s a lot better than some movies I’ve seen recently and I’d recommend it if you want something that you won’t get bored in.

GI Joe Movie

Saw GI Joe last night. It was good for an action movie. The special effects were top notch! The movie felt realistic and the movie sucked me in and made me believe it could have been real.

Now, have to warn you, there will be a sequel! Isn’t that surprising?….

I recommend the movie if you want to be entertained and just relax.

My Day – Julia, Mice, and Camera Troubles

Well, this morning we went and saw Julie and Julia. I found it to be pretty funny and actually entertaining-for a chick flick! I also found her blogging to be interesting. I found the blog that Julie (the real person, not the actress) wrote. You can find it here. I never realized Salon.com had a blog system. I also found out from the official movie twitter that today would be Julia Child’s 97th birthday.

Who knows, someone may turn my blog into a book someday…..you still there? Are you up off the floor from laughing at the thought of my blog being in a book? I’m still on the floor laughing and I can’t seem to get up.

My logitech mouse, of 5-6 years, gave up today and I had to get a new mouse. I’m trying out a wireless bluetooth (not being redundant, just telling what the wireless technology is) Apple mouse. It’s very nice and I like it a lot. You don’t need any USB dongles and it feels very ergonomic. Check out Paul Stamatiou’s review on it (and if your not reading that last blog, you should!).

I’m about to leave for a wedding (not mine, that’ll be a few years) and I’m recording video for it. Well, my Sony camera isn’t starting up and I’ve followed all of the troubleshooting tips in the manual. We’ll stop by Best Buy to see if a new battery will fix the problem-if not, I’ll use my iPhone hooked up to a tripod/monopod. We were originally going to use the iPhone for another viewing angle and have my friend, who’s sister is getting married, film using the iPhone while I film using my regular camera. At least I will have some way to record video of the wedding. Bad things ALWAYS happen when your about to do something mission critical.
